The visitors took an early lead through the boot of fullback Frederic Couzier but that score was soon cancelled out by Albi flyhalf André Hough.

The hosts then stepped on the accelerator with tries from Régis Bianco and Pierre Saby, both converted by Hough who also added a penalty before half-time.

They extended their lead soon after the break with a try from John Stewart, again converted by Hough.

Auch rallied with a tries from Brice Salobert and Nicolas Bontinck either side of another penalty from Hough.

A late rally from Auch saw them steal the win with further tries from Nicolas Pagotto and a second for Bontinck.

Benoît Albert converted the last score with the last kick of the game to seal the win.
