Wallace missed Munster's last game against Ulster because of a leg injury picked up in the final RBS Six Nations game against England while Dowling was forced to withdraw from the starting XV in the run up to that Ulster game because of a stomach bug.
Two other players carrying knocks, Denis Leamy and Rua Tipoki, are both named on a nine strong bench with a decision on their participation postponed until the morning. A vacancy has been left in the centre pending the decision on Tipoki’s fitness.
Irish internationals Ronan O’Gara, Marcus Horan and second row Paul O’Connell must make do with places on an impressive bench, their places being taken by Paul Warwick, Tony Buckley and Mick O’Driscoll.
