Ben May
Ben May on the charge for the Chiefs
Chiefs back May over red card
11 May 2008, 12:28 pm
By Scrum
The Chiefs team and management has issued a statement regarding Ben May's up coming hearing in front of the SANZAR judicial committee in Durban on Monday 12 May regarding his red card in the Chiefs v Lions match held in Johannesburg.
"Chiefs prop Ben May received a red card in the Chiefs vs Lions match which was disappointing.  Ben has never been before a judicial committee; and has never had a yellow card in his rugby career to date."

"Ben is understandably upset and concerned by the red card in the weekend’s fixture and the subsequent judicial hearing."

"The Chiefs team and management are standing by Ben.  The Chiefs have engaged the services of Wellington barrister Tim Castle to appear as counsel for Ben at the up coming judicial hearing."
