Argentina will be looking to reassert their recent dominance of France when the two sides go head-to-head in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

The Pumas have won six of their last eight meetings - including two victories at the 2007 Rugby World Cup - but were on the wrong end of a narrow 12-6 result the last time the sides clashed in Marseille in 2008.

The two sides first met in 1949 when the French tourists edged out their hosts 5-0. They have since met on a further 40 occasions with France holding the historical advantage with 32 victories but the Pumas' recent dominance of the fixture has seen their winning total climb to nine - the one other clash saw them draw 18-18 at the Ferrocaril Oeste club in Buenos Aires in 1977.
