Scarlets fly-half Rhys Priestland has been cleared of foul play by the Welsh Rugby Union Professional Disciplinary Panel.

Priestland was called before the disciplinary panel for a tackle on Ospreys wing Jonny Vaughton during his side's 20-6 Magners League defeat at the Liberty Stadium last Saturday.

A video recording of the incident in question was viewed during the hearing which was held at the Millennium Stadium.

He was subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing this afternoon and is able to take his place on the bench for the Scarlets' Magners League clash with the Dragons on Thursday evening.
