Scotland coach Andy Robinson will do whatever it takes to see his side to victory over England at Twickenham on Saturday and will have no problem if his players use anti-English sentiment to their advantage. Robinson, who played eight Tests for England and coached them between 2004 and 2006, wants his charges to use everything available to them as they look for a first win in this year's Six Nations. England have been under pressure to perform so far, despite winning their opening two games, and present a big challenge to the home side. "If they have that feeling then that's great," Robinson said. "There are a number of drivers that you have, emotional drivers going into games. It's important that we use every aspect. The crowd getting behind the team before the five-o'clock kick-off and throughout the game will give the team a huge lift. "We need every ounce tomorrow to beat a very good England side. They've won two games and could've won that third game. They're already talking, saying they can do something special. We've got to be able to stand toe-to-toe with England." Robinson will keep it simple in his pre-game messages and is confident that the squad is in a positive frame of mind prior to what is a vital fixture as they look to avoid the wooden spoon. "What I'll be saying will be pretty simple, after being involved with the team today, seeing how positive the team is, seeing that there's a determination for the team to play and to perform," he said. "I believe there's not a lot I have to say to them tomorrow. "Obviously, the situation that we're in, having not won a game, there's extra determination to get the team across the line. We've played well in games but we've not be able to finish off and take that next step. That's a key aspect for us." In recent seasons the Calcutta Cup has been won following a titanic forward battle but Robinson believes that there needs to be clinical finishing and sensible play if they are to emerge victorious. "It's about who scores the most points," he said. "We've got to make sure that we don't give dull penalties away, we don't give penalties away for Jonny Wilkinson to kick. We've got to make sure right across the board that we're knocking the white shirts over and challenging for that ball. And we've got to make sure that we take our chances - it's as simple as that." © Scrum.com
