The original Wembley Stadium played host to seven international rugby fixtures between 1992 and 1998.
The first game played at the stadium was England's 26-13 victory over Canada on October 17, 1992 and the last, and perhaps most famous, was Wales 32-31 win against England in their Five Nations Championship clash on April 11, 1999.
Wales played all of their 'home' games at the stadium during the 1998 and 1999 seasons during the construction of the Millennium Stadium.
The first rugby union match played at the re-developed Wembley Stadium was the clash between the Barbarians and Australia on December 3, 2008. The fixture was staged to celebrate the centenary since the Olympics was staged in London.
Rugby league has been a much more frequent visitor to Wembley, both before and after the re-development, with the ground the permanent home of the Challenge Cup Final.
